School/Daycare Staff Training requested by parent for their child.
Michael’s Miracles helps children with diabetes have a safe transition into the school setting. This educational service is provided by a Certified Diabetes Educator in conjunction with the child’s parents/guardian. Each training is individualized based on the child’s medical health plan and the specific school requirements and/or limitations. School staff will receive information on basic diabetes education and management skills, depending on the medical plan. However, the necessary skills and daily management will need to be reinforced by the child’s parents/guardian on an on-going basis to ensure competence and compliance with the medical plan.

Support Group/Social Activities
Currently we are working on gatherings for teens and pre-teens as well as parent only meet ups. If you have an interest in any of these let us know. We also have a list of current support groups in the area if you are searching for one ASAP.
Care Package
Our care package consist of tools and comfort items that a newly diagnosed family needs in and right out of the hospital. We deliver them to Rutgers/Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. If you would like to order one for a newly diagnosed family let us know. Contents are never the same and can be geared towards the age of the child.
Camp Scholarships
Michael's Miracles offers 10-20 scholarships to families who wish for their T1D child to attend Camp Nejeda, but can not afford it. It is required that the family sign up for camp and informs us that they have a need for a scholarship. We work with the camp on all decisions, but in the end the camp directors decide who has the biggest need for a scholarship.
